At Christ’s Church, we encourage all people to help each other become better followers of Jesus. One of the ways we accomplish this is through what we call “T-Groups.” The T stands for transformation which describes the process or activity of changing something or someone to a better state. And Group refers to 2 or more persons who come together for a common purpose.
 
So T-Groups are 2-5 men or 2-5 women who meet regularly for the purpose of helping each other become better Christ-followers by reading the Bible, praying, and by addressing the important matters of everyday Christian life.
 
How do I form or join a T-Group?

It’s actually pretty easy.

1. First, you find or join with any 1-4 other people of the same gender who agree to meet regularly to help each other become better Christ-followers.

2. Agree on a day, time & place to meet regularly, on a weekly Bible reading, and on the real life questions to ask of one another.

3. Read & study the Bible. When you read the Bible, three good questions you can always ask are:

    What did this Scripture mean when it was written?
    What is the timeless truth behind what God is saying?
    How does it apply now to me?

4. It's important to address the serious matters of life by asking real life questions of one another. Questions are available on the CC APP under the "Hoods" icon or below.

5. Finally let us know you’re meeting as a T-Group by notifying us of your day/time/place at TGroups@CContheWeb.com.

I WANT TO BE A PERSON OF FAITH

• In what ways have I spent some quiet time with God in prayer, His Word, and His Spirit this week?
• Did I read, study & apply my Bible this week? 
• In what ways do I need to live out my faith or my Bible-reading this week, and how can my T-Group help or encourage me to do so?

I WANT TO BE A PERSON OF FAMILY

• In what ways have I demonstrated love and respect for my spouse, and faithfulness to my marriage, this week? In what ways might I have fallen short and need encouragement in this area?
• In what ways have I demonstrated godly leadership, example and guidance for my children, or sought to have spiritual input with my children this week? In what ways might I seek to be better in this area?
• In what ways have I been honoring and respectful to my parent(s) or other family this week? In what ways can I find room to improve in this area?

I WANT TO BE A PERSON OF INTEGRITY

• Have I viewed or engaged in any activity or relationship this week that is inappropriate for my Christian life, commitments and integrity? If so, what can I or am I doing to better myself in this area?
• Have I been committed to excellence in my work and responsibilities this week, and honest and generous before God in the resources I’ve received for my work?
• In what ways have I controlled my temper, mood & words honorably this week? Is there anything for which I might need to repent or seek forgiveness? 

I WANT TO BE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE

• In what ways have I used my personal influence for the good of God and others this week, putting God’s and others’ needs and interests ahead of my own?
• In what ways have I stood up for Christ in the world I live this week?
• In what ways have I been praying for others to draw nearer to God, and seeking or taking advantage of any and every opportunity to share Christ with others, or helping people to draw nearer to God?

• Have I been honest in my words and dealings with God and others, and have I kept any promises I’ve made?
• Am I aware of any unconfessed sin(s) in my life?

What is 242?
Looking to dive deeper into the scriptures and community with others? 242 Classes are area driven Bible studies, Sunday mornings here on campus. Both classes meet at 9:30 and there is no registration needed, simply show up. Whether you are a new or seasoned believer, take advantage of the incredible teaching and community these classes offer.

Mandarin Campus:

• What’s the difference between “small groups” and Neighborhood Groups? Neighborhood Groups are held in your neighborhood connecting with all ages and all stages of life. Allowing you to minister to each other in unique ways regularly based on the fact that you do life together in a common place. The opposite of affinity groups. (similar interests)

• What do we study? Groups will be provided relevant questions that are scripturally based to study for each session. By supplying this curriculum groups will be on the same page, moving in the same direction, focused on the mission of Christ’s Church.

• Since curriculum is only supplied for a few sessions a year, what do we do for the remaining part of the year? “Neighborhoods” is not seasonal, it’s a lifestyle. With this in mind, in between sessions some groups check with their Neighborhood Pastor for additional studies. Other options are: helping your neighbors, having cookouts, service projects, holiday activities, and making other connections through life.

• What do we do about children in our Neighborhood Group? Most likely there will be families in your group that have children. Every group needs to work together to come up with mutually acceptable solutions for how they will handle children in their group. Group Leaders will have access to additional resources and ideas for children in groups. (Remember it’s 6-8 sessions for only 90 minutes)

• What if my house is too small? Too small is relative, but if it’s too tight then birth a new group by adding a “Host” home. God gives us everything we have to use for His glory.

• What if our house isn’t kid friendly? Mark 10:14 Jesus answers this best. HE said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these little children.”

• How many people should be in a group? Groups will vary in size, the important things to remember are: If your group is small in size don’t give up, gear up! If your group seems too large, remember they are never full, and it might be time to launch a new group. Neighborhoods goal is always to be reaching new Neighbors.

• How does “Neighborhoods” cover gender specific discussions and non co-ed discipleship? This is where T-Groups (non co-ed accountability) Transformation Groups are made. A T-Group is made up of three or four people committed to spiritual growth and personal accountability. The goal is to be more like Christ and make more disciples, better disciples.
